As a songwriter, singer and guitar player, Scott Porter draws on influences of music legends from Paul Westerberg to John Frusciante. Rounded out by the funked up Billy Ziff on bass and well-disciplined madman, Ray Crespo on drums, each individual member of frank brings their own unique, irreplaceable personality to the stage. With songs like "Need Some Help", "Bleed" and "Fallout", frank have distinguished themselves ahead of a crowded field of hungry musicians, by combining proficient songwriting with tight delivery to form their own brand of rock and roll.
Born in early 2001, the three members of frank bring an established strong work ethic, precision musicianship and a passion for creating and performing. Before forming frank, Porter shared the stage with modern rock favorites The Goo Goo Dolls and Live in previous projects, while Ziff sharpened his bass playing in the mid-west band, Auteolux, a semi-finalist in Musician Magazines Best Unsigned Band contest of 1998.
